A Facebook question

I was asked on facebook: Can people come along and watch you cut John?

The answer is:

Yes I sit in the shop cutting. We opened our shop at Kirkharle for that very reason, as at craft shows people often doubted whether I was being honest about the hand-cut description. So all my pictures are now made in my shop at Kirkharle in front of the customers.

Our opening times can be found at

Visitors to my studio may see me cutting my papercuts but they rarely see me designing them. That’s because I like to have an uninterrupted thought process when I’m designing. So I thought I’d upload a couple of scans of the ink drawing I’m working on for a new design. This isn’t finished yet.

New papercut: BSA Gold Star, available soon from the usual places.

138 original papercuts now at Etsy. Not all of them too dear (two deer. See what I did there? Never mind).
